This Teacher Training is designed to take you from beginner to intermediate and from intermediate to advanced in your practice. We offer a focused progressive approach of training acrobatics, and emphasize the importance of communication in order to build success in partnerships. Our focus is for every student to gain the strength, confidence, and understanding of each progression leading to the final pose or transition. We measure success through the excitement of our students, which comes from curiosity and the improved understanding of each step we lead them through.
Expected a focused and fun environment throughout the immersion. Our goal is to push you towards the edge of your comfort zone in order to aid your growth, both as an acrobat and a human.
In our teaching modules, we’ll cover creation of a class arc, techniques for teaching with a partner and teaching alone, how to effectively demo, and general safety as a teacher. We will share with you everything we’ve learned over 2 years of teaching weekly classes, domestic and international weekend workshops, and immersions.
Along with these skills, you’ll leave with an understanding of how to read a room, manage expectations, build community, and the difference of teaching acrobatics versus teaching connection/play.
-100 hours of practice including Acroyoga & Yoga Asana, Partner Warm Ups & Games, Acroyoga Teaching Methodology, and Inversions
-A progressive style of training, building both individual and partner strength
-L-basing, arm balancing, inversions, mono limb balance, beginner standing acro
-The subtle elements of Acroyoga - trust, communication, and acceptance
-Teaching & training methodologies to breakthrough plateaus in your, and your students’, practice
-Daily evening meditation taught by Shashi, founder of Nirvana Yoga Shala
*These 100 hours are certified as Yoga Alliance Continual Education hours
To best take advantage of the short amount of time we’ll have together, we have a basic level of pre requisites we ask each student to have: candle stick, front plank (bird), side star.
*We will send out full tutorial videos for these pre reqs to ensure you feel fully prepared for the TT.
